Alexandra Dzielski
Senior Accountant
Alex Dzielski is a Senior Accountant with The Center for Elder Law & Justice working in the WNY Coalition Pooled Trusts, where she manages beneficiary accounts. Alex earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and a Master of Science Degree in Professional Accountancy from Daemen College, where she was a Trustee Scholar, member of Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society, and volunteer for IRS tax preparation services.

Corey Haertel
Social Worker
Corey Haertel is a Social Worker at the Center for Elder Law and Justice in the WNY Coalition Pooled Trust Unit. Corey grew up in Western New York and earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Hilbert College and is currently pursuing his Masters of Social Work from the University at Buffalo. Corey is affiliated with WNY Network in Aging and the Aging Life Care Association. He is also a NYS commissioned Notary Public. Outside of work, Corey enjoys camping, golfing, and spending time with family/friends.

Jay Mapstone, LMSW
Intake Coordinator
Jay Mapstone, LMSW is an Associate Vice President with People Inc. working in partnership with the WNY Coalition Pooled Trusts. Jay earned his Bachelor of Science at SUNY Brockport and his Master of Social Work at the University at Albany. Jay has worked his entire career supporting people who live with disabilities, primarily those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Karen L. Nicolson, Esq.
CEO / CELJ
Karen L. Nicolson has been CEO of Center for Elder Law & Justicew York, for the past fifteen years. She was a staff attorney with the office since 1990 and, before that, worked briefly at the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo. Nicolson is the past chair of the Board of Directors of the Western New York Law Center and Secretary of the Erie County Bar Foundation. She is a past chair of the Erie County Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee and received the Special Services Award from the ECBA in 2004.
Nicolson is a member of the 2008 inaugural class of the Leadership Institute of the Bar Association of Erie County and serves on the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Legal Aid, The Town of Amherst Senior Services Advisory Board, as well as the Governor’s Advisory Committee on Aging. She frequently lectures on elder abuse, pooled trust and elder law issues.

Anne McCaffrey
President & CEO / People Inc.
A civic leader and change maker, Anne McCaffrey brings a unique and essential set of skills to the role of President and CEO of People Inc. Her background is rich in non-profit, behavioral health, public service and successful leadership roles.Prior to joining People Inc., McCaffrey was the President and CEO of Eastern Niagara Hospital. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Nazareth and a master’s degree in public policy analysis with a health care concentration from the University of Rochester.

Harvey is a Vice President at People Inc., supporting the commuity-based services and agency intake teams. Prior to joining People Inc., she was the Director of Resource Development and Finance at Rivershore, Inc. in Niagara County. Harvey received a Master of Business Administration from Niagara University, a Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance and Information Systems from the State University of New York at Buffalo and graduated from Leadership Niagara.
